Accounts Receivable Lead

Your New Role

As our Accounts Receivable Lead, you will partner with business units to ensure all NDIS invoicing and billing is completed in a timely manner.  Responsible for tracking NDIS revenue and ensuring payments are received and accurately recorded. The focus is to ensure that unbilled revenue is tracked and kept to a minimum to assist in managing working capital for the business.

The role is full-time maternity leave contract (6 months) based in North Ryde with flexible starting and finishing times.

The day to day

  •  Providing quality and timely Aged Debt analysis including Unbilled Revenue KPIs to Finance leadership team, C-Suite, and Board.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislative requirements from billings perspective.
  • Managing and analysing accounting data and produce month-end close for all billings including NDIS income.
  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Billings team including but not limited to General Ledger closure, invoicing, cash receipting, cashflow management, cash forecasting, revenue variance analysis, debt activity and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate/complete financial records and provide adequate support during internal/external audit as required.
  • Supervising activities associated with organisational billings requirements and focus on improving Billings team controls, systems and procedures.

What you need to have

  • Ideally you will be in a similar position with experience processing NDIS payments / recievables 
  • Relevant financial experience: financial and/or management accounting activities (general accounting, financial analysis, and reports)
  • Accreditation as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Chartered Practising Accountant (CPA), highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to explain financial concepts non finance team members
