National Clinical Lead - Allied Health

This great new role will provide you the opportunity to build, develop and lead a clinical allied health workforce that provides safe, high-quality care to customers. You will create a culture that encourages safe, positive and respectful customer focused outcomes.  


Some of what you’ll be championing:  

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer care and governance within a customer outcomes focused framework.
  • Stay informed about current research, practices, and industry updates related to person-centered care and best practice and share knowledge with the organisation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure New Horizons applies a holistic and person-centered approach to care.
  • Develop, lead, and supervise a multidisciplinary allied health team who are committed to upholding the values of the organisation and assisting the Clinical Excellence Hub in achieving its objectives.
  • Provide clinical services, advice, and consultancy within your scope of practice to other parts of New Horizons.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at providing safe and high-quality person-centered care.
  • Support the organisation in achieving and maintaining relevant certifications and accreditations.
  • Assist the National Clinical Manager with other duties as required.

Your ticket to play:  

  • Qualifications and full registration in a relevant allied health field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy and extensive practice experience in the implementation of person-centered care within a disability and/or mental health care setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation, guidelines, and standards related to disability and/or mental health care.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders in a sensitive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data to inform decision-making and identify trends.
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
