We are excited to offer Full time Permanent positions for a Level 3 Peer Community Support Worker role throughout our customer service programs.

These roles will sit across different Mental Health programs. Usual hours of work vary from Monday to Sunday between 6am to 8pm with a 24/7 rotating roster.

These positions support the delivery of community-based support in the Mental health space.
The Day to Day
Use your lived experience of mental illness and personal recovery to support people living with psychosocial distress, bringing hope and meaning to customers of the service
Share your Lived experience to Promote awareness and knowledge of the daily challenges that customers face living with mental health.
Providing opportunities to create positivity, wellness and recovery-based goals.
Providing support to Participants in the mental health community outreach services, to improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport, social activities, medication runs as well as other supports as required.
Keeping customer records up to date using online systems.
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with people, families, caregivers and key stakeholders.
Complete risk assessments, support plans and other required documents in a timely manner.

Competent in working with people with a Mental Health.


What you need to have
Lived experience with Certificate IV in Peer work.
Appropriate certificate level qualification in Mental Health or Community Services, OR equivalent relevant experience in the human services industry.
Experience in the mental health and community sector, with strong knowledge of services, block funded Mental health programs, NDIS and Understanding of Person-Centered Practices.
Current Police check
Valid NSW Drivers C class licence, with ability to drive vehicles in licence class.
Valid first aid certificate.
NDIS Workers Check
WWCC
Basic skills in Microsoft Office, other common systems.
Passion, Respect & Integrity.
