About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager People and Culture, the Learning & Development Consultant oversees all the aspects of New Horizons' learning programs, from managing the learning management system, coordinating training to developing and delivering modern learning initiatives. This role ensures that learning opportunities and pathways are compliant and effective
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate internal and external courses, liaising with service providers, venues, and learners.
Develop, design, review, and source courses to meet compliance and best practice requirements.
Recommend and stay updated on engaging training tools, practices, and trends.
Manage the annual training calendar, including induction, compliance training, and eLearning modules.
Apply business needs and priorities when interpreting legislation and conducting L&D processes.
Assist with implementing new products and services.
Consult with stakeholders on learning options to enhance employee performance and development.
Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Drive the implementation of learning and development programs, including career and personal development, D&I, safety culture strategies, and employee engagement.
Administer the LMS, recommend process improvements, and prepare required reporting.
Provide advice on student placements and volunteer support.
Assist with developing L&D policies, procedures, and templates.
Evaluate learner feedback and the success of courses, identifying knowledge and skill gaps to develop learning initiatives.

Skills & Experience
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or an equivalent qualification.
3-5 years of experience in a Learning and Development (L&D) role, with a solid understanding of contemporary L&D methods, tools, technology, and trends, and the ability to design learning experiences using various platforms.
Proven experience in designing and assessing organisation-wide training programs within the  Not For Profit, Disability, Aged Care or Health care sectors is a must for this role.
A current driver's license and a willingness to travel across New South Wales (NSW).
Knowledge of cornerstone is desirable
