About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and strategic Policy Governance Lead to champion best practice policy development and document management across New Horizons. In this high-impact role, you’ll empower teams, elevate document quality, and enhance organisational compliance and resilience. This is your chance to shape frameworks that support thousands—and create clarity where it matters most.

What You’ll Be Doing
Own and evolve our Controlled Documents Framework, ensuring consistency, clarity, and compliance.
Lead the end-to-end document lifecycle—from creation to retirement—with precision.
Partner with internal experts to design and refine policies, procedures, guidelines, forms, and tools.
Maintain oversight of our document management system and intranet-based resources.
Identify opportunities to enhance content management system capabilities.
Ensure robust security, seamless access, and proper distribution of all controlled content.
Monitor legislative and industry developments, aligning documents to changing obligations.
Embed best-practice writing standards across policy content.
Align all documentation to relevant accreditation standards, legislation, and contractual requirements.
Support teams in understanding and owning their documentation responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring
Exceptional policy writing, editing, and formatting skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and document control processes.
Natural curiosity about legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
Superb time management, organisation, and attention to detail.
Ability to juggle competing priorities and drive outcomes under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
Experience navigating regulatory environments and understanding risk frameworks.
Eligibility for required checks: National Criminal History, NDIS Worker, and Working with Children.

What We’re Offering
Tax savings through not-for-profit salary packaging.
38-hour work week with a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).
Access to flexible work arrangements that support work–life balance.
Complimentary Employee Assistance Program services.
A values-led workplace culture built on respect, resilience, and inclusion.

If you’re ready to lead policy governance with clarity, confidence, and purpose—we’d love to hear from you.
