About the Role:
Are you passionate about health and wellbeing? Join New Horizons as a Safety and Wellbeing Manager and lead the development and implementation of our health and wellbeing strategy. You'll focus on the LPR model of workers compensation and preventative strategies, working closely with the GM People & Culture and other teams to reduce workplace injuries, improve return-to-work outcomes, and promote positive employee mental and physical wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety Culture and Compliance: Promote a proactive safety culture, maintain WHS knowledge, notify and consult with Safe Work NSW, and monitor WHS performance.
Strategic Development: Align safety and wellbeing strategies with company goals, develop WHS frameworks, and implement health initiatives.
Audit and Reporting: Conduct WHS audits, follow up on recommendations, and report outcomes. Lead injury and hazard reduction planning.
Workers Compensation and Wellbeing: Manage the LPR workers compensation model, develop the Wellbeing @ Work Program, and advocate safe practices.
WHS Team Management: Guide the WHS team and ensure alignment with the People & Culture Team.
Site Management and Travel: Oversee WHS activities across all sites, requiring travel in Sydney and Regional NSW.
Skills and Qualifications:
WHS qualifications (Min cert IV).
5+ years' experience in WHS and Workers Compensation.
Knowledge of WHS legislation and standards.
Experience in internal audits.
Willingness to travel.
Intermediate computer skills (Office 365).
Pre-Compliance Checks:
National Criminal Clearance Check.
NDIS Worker Check.
Working with Children Check.
First Aid Certificate.
Valid Driver's License.
Right to Work in Australia.
