Community Support Worker (Female Arabic Speaking)

We are excited to offer Full Time Permanent position for a Level 3 Community Support Worker (Female Arabic Speaking) for our Community Living Support – Refugee (CLSR) Mental Health program based in Liverpool. Usual hours of work Monday to Friday between 8am-4.00pm.

This position supports the delivery of community-based
support in the Mental Health space. Lived experience relevant to the role is

Key Responsibilities:
 In this role you will be responsible for;
1. Providing support to Participants in the mental health community outreach services, to improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport, social activities, as well as other supports as required.
2. Keeping customer records up to date using online systems
3. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with people, families, caregivers and key stakeholders.
4. Complete risk assessments, support plans and other required documents in a timely manner.
5. Work with people living with Mental Health
What you will bring to the role:
1. Fluency in Arabic (written, reading and spoken)
2. Qualification in Mental Health or
Community Services, OR equivalent relevant experience in the human services
industry
3. Demonstrated understanding of mental health
issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers and the effects of torture on
individuals, young people, families and communities
4. Experience in the mental health and community
sector, with strong knowledge of services, Mental Health programs, NDIS and
Understanding of Person-Centered Practices.
5. Valid NSW Drivers C class license, with
ability to drive vehicles in this license class
6. Valid first aid certificate, NDISWC, WWCC, Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to starting with us
10. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience
