We have an exciting opportunity
for Intake and Assessment Officer working in Coffs Harbour.
This is a Full-Time Max
Term contract position to end June 2026, working days are Monday to Friday.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a
person to support customers experiencing homelessness and provide support
to tenants at risk of homelessness, by addressing the issues that are placing
their tenancies at risk.
The service also works with
people who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless and/or living in
unsustainable and unsafe accommodation to assist them to rapidly find suitable
long term accommodation.
You will report to the Team
Leader in our Inclusion services.
Key responsibilities will
include:
Supporting people from diverse backgrounds
Providing advice about accommodation, tenancy, employment,
education, community access and support services
Maintaining partnerships across a broad range of sectors
Networking and negotiating with key stakeholders
Promoting independence or physical wellbeing
Managing office front counter
Responding to general enquiries from customers and providers
Undertaking a range of administration tasks
Skill and Experience:
Experience working with people with complex needs
Proven reception and administration skills
Experience coordinating services through multiple providers in the
community service sector
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for the sector and supporting vulnerable people
Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and
systems for reporting
Minimum Cert IV qualification in Mental Health or Disability or
related discipline or equivalent industry experience
A current NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel across
the Coffs Harbour area
Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, current WWCC and NDISWC to meet New Horizons employment criteria prior to
commencing with us.
Rewards and Recognition:
We offer salary packaging up to
$15,900.00 pa, monthly RDOs (yes please!) and an entertainment allowance of
