This role
provides support and works in partnership with people living with disability to
live in a SIL property in the way that they want to.
We empower our customers by
supporting them to build independence, identify and achieve goals, engage in
activities of daily life, and encourage genuine connections within the
community.

Key
Responsibilities
New
Horizons is in search of a Community Engagement Coordinator at Port Macquarie within a SIL property. In this role you will be responsible for;
-All new
customers site induction and welcome pack
-Design in
consultation with customers, a fortnightly menu. This can be done as part of
the house meetings and should form part of the agenda
-Management
of chemicals on site including completion of related documentation
-All
service vehicles have first aid kit audits completed and records are stored
appropriately
-Complete
the quarterly safety audits and identify corrective actions including, where
relevant, raising of maintenance requests
-Provide
ongoing education and training on the reporting requirements of hazards and WHS
matters
-Manage
& monitor the "customer medical appointment scheduled" and review
doctor visit forms following each visit
-Visiting
health professional form completion and storage

What you will bring to the
role:
-Minimum
Cert III in Disability, mental health, Peer Work, or equivalent
-Valid NSW
Drivers License (Class C), with ability to drive large cars and/or vans
-Willingness
to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, NSW WWCC and NDISWC to meet New
Horizons employment criteria prior to commencing with us.
-A strong
set of values that guides your work, incorporating our organisational values of

-Great
computer skills with proven ability to use microsoft office and customer
relationships management systems.
